Tips To Get Higher Google Ranking

There is no doubt about Google’s popularity. Most online users turn to Google when searching something online. This can be credited to the relevant search results generated by this search engine. Because Google is so popular, all website owners want to appear with a good placement in Google.

The common mistake among webmasters is thinking that if their website is spidered and indexed by Google spiders, they can already expect a good ranking on the search engine. Actually, getting indexed is just the first step in promoting your website on Google. You need to work on the other steps if you want to see any improvement in your website’s ranking.
Working On A Better Google Ranking

While there are no guaranteed ways to skyrocket your website’s listing to the top of Google search results, there are several ways to help your website get noticed. Here are some tips to help your website get better placement on Google search results:

    * Website must have a clear hierarchy. It means that the website content must be arranged in order of importance. Headings must follow in order.

    * There should be a compelling and keyword rich introductory paragraph. This paragraph should explain what your business is all about in as little words as possible. This is beneficial to your site visitors. If the paragraph is optimized with your relevant keywords, it can actually help your website get better ranking on Google search results every time those keywords are searched for.

    * All the pages of the website must be linked to each other. This makes spidering and indexing of the entire pages of your website easier and faster. This can be achieved through a sitemap and internal links. If you use internal links, make sure the anchor text is keyword enrich. For instance, if the page you are pointing at refers to pay per click advertising, then the anchor text of the internal link can be “pay per click” or “PPC advertising” instead of the usual “Click Here”.

    * Prioritize text rather than images in your website content. The Googlebot can’t read through images so it won’t have any value if you put your message on the image.

    * Never indulge in search engine cloaking. It will only hurt your ranking. If you are already struggling with a pagerank of 2, try cloaking and you’ll end up pushing your way through with no page rank at all and worst, you might not even make your website appear on Google search results.

Tips to get better ranking in Google search results are endless. There could be hundreds of them but in the end only few of them really matters. Just remember that as long as your website has quality and optimized content, good number of quality incoming links and optimized web design, there is nothing to worry about.
